REAL FOOD HEALTHY CHILDREN

Could the growing incidences of childhood obesity, asthma, allergies, autism,  attention deficit disorder and anxiety be linked to nutrition?

Is it possible that our children are well fed but malnourished?

We tend to think of nutrition in a very reductionist way- in terms of an isolated mineral in supplement form but we may not think of the importance of the food that we eat everyday.

Food is information and has the ability to create health or fuel disease.

What we eat has the ability to affect our moods, our behavior, our ability to think, our sleep, our energy levels, our susceptibility to illness and our ability to heal.

Sadly, much of the food that we feed our children is devoid of the important building blocks for strong healthy bodies and brains.

In this 2 part webinar, we will be uncovering answers to the following questions:

  • What defines good health and nutrition for children?
  • Is there a link between the state of the food system and environment and developmental issues and childhood illness?
  • How are nutritional deficiencies implicated in the health of the gut and brain, illness, developmental disabilities, and nervous system regulation?
  • How do we begin to correct these deficiencies and reverse the trajectory of poor health in our families?

We will be discussing symptoms that you may see in your child that you maybe never connected to food.

We will discuss how to determine if it is a food that is irritating to your child’s system or whether it is a nutrient that is missing.

You will learn how to make easy changes in your child’s diet in a step by step manner to begin seeing changes.

You will learn the root of picky eating in children and how to determine if the picky eating is just a typical stage a child goes through or if it is indicative or a deeper issue like gut issues/ sensory aversions.

You will learn how to structure mealtimes to help deal with picky eating and open your child up to new food experiences.

You will be given a simple meal plan and recipes to get you started.. Recipes that you can make with your kids!

And, we will talk about environmental / lifestyles habits as well that can be impacting behavior, mood, learning and overall health.
