Young Chefs cooking classes are an amazing opportunity for children to learn about real food, expand their taste buds and become proficient with simple cooking skills.
There is an emphasis on basic, safe knife skills, food safety and cooking different foods (i.e . egg dishes, grain dishes, fruit dishes, both sweet and savory , vegetable dishes, salads etc).
Children are encouraged to expand their food horizons while learning about foods and flavors of different cultures.
And, they will learn how to tune into their bodies; understand their food cravings and learn how to use food to keep themselves healthy and strong.
The classes are structured so that the children cook a full meal together and then sit down and delight in their accomplishment!
We do accommodate any food allergies or sensitivities. At registration, you will receive a form to fill out regarding any food issues.
We have one class scheduled per month.
